Terms and Conditions of Debit Payment Method
Stash Financial, Inc. and its affiliates (“Stash”) accepts debit cards for your convenience for the purpose of funding your Stash investment account(s). Debit cards displaying the following brands on the front of the card can be used for payment: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover Network.
Stash may process a debit card payment through Visa, Mastercard, Discover, STAR, NYCE, PULSE, or Accel (each a “Payment Network”). Regardless of the Payment Network used to process your debit card payment, you need to enter your card number, expiration date, security code from the back of your card, and address (including ZIP code) where you receive your debit card statement. You don’t need to enter your Personal Identification Number (“PIN”). Your financial institution may charge you a fee for payments we process as a PIN-less debit transaction. If you have any questions regarding the terms and conditions of your debit card, contact your financial institution using the telephone number found on the back of your card.
We have a relationship with a third-party depository institution to enable the debit payment funding method. By entering your debit card information, you instruct the third-party bank to hold any funds you decide to contribute to your Stash investment account(s) in a bank account for your benefit and controlled exclusively by the bank and subsequently transfer any such funds from the bank to an allocation account of Stash Capital LLC, our affiliated registered broker dealer, at Apex Clearing Corporation, a third-party SEC-registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA/SIPC, which serves as qualified custodian for the advisory assets of Stash Investments LLC, our affiliated registered investment adviser. Any such funds will be transferred from the allocation account to your Stash investment account. You have the authority to amend or terminate this instruction but, in such case, you will not be able to fund your account via this debit payment method. You will receive a receipt that confirms your debit transaction and you will be able to confirm that any funds have been received in your Stash investment account(s) per your ordinary course account statements provided in connection with the services you receive.
By entering your debit card information, you also authorize Stash and/or its qualified custodian to charge any fees you may owe pursuant to and in accordance with your account opening agreements via the debit payment method.
Stash does not refund amounts you decide to contribute to your Stash investment account(s) through the debit payment method described above.
Although you may be permitted to contribute funds to your Stash investment account(s) via the debit payment method described above, you will not be able withdraw funds from your Stash investment account(s) via such method. You will be required to connect a bank account to your Stash investment account in order to request and receive a withdrawal of funds from such account.
