My family member has passed away, what do I need to do to close their Stash account?
We are very sorry for your loss. This must be extraordinarily difficult for you. Our support team is here to help guide you through this.
When you’re ready, email us and tell us the first and last name of the deceased, as well as their phone number or email address so we can find their account in our system.
Please advise that we will need a copy of the death certificate and a small estate affidavit to confirm you are the named beneficiary. This allows us to close out the account.
We will also be asking for your preferred address to mail a check with the money from the account. We will ask you for the documents after we receive your initial message.
Please connect with us when you are feeling up to it and we’ll help you with everything. Sending our deepest condolences to you and your family.
