Stash101 Brings Financial Literacy Resources to Brooklyn-Based College-Alternative Marcy Lab School

Marcy Lab is the latest in a spate of Stash101 partnerships that also include North Carolina Middle Schools, Portland Public Schools, FoolProof Foundation, and NOCAP Sports.

New York, NY (April 14, 2022) - Stash101, an immersive education platform for students and teachers from fintech pioneer Stash, is partnering with the Marcy Lab School (Marcy), a Brooklyn-based college alternative, to provide its students with financial literacy tools to build wealth for their families and communities.

“Marcy Lab is tackling some of our country’s most pressing problems: the exorbitant price of a great college education and the barriers to entry into STEAM careers for students of minority backgrounds,” says Dale Sperling, CMO of Stash and general manager of Stash101.

Marcy serves traditionally underrepresented students who seek purpose-driven careers in tech, and was founded by two former New York City Public School educators. Fellows at Marcy train for a full year free-of-cost in software development and leadership skills.

“Our mission at Marcy Lab is to provide an exceptional post-secondary education experience to propel underestimated students into financially-rewarding careers,” said Reuben Ogbonna, Executive Director of the Marcy Lab School.
