Trust your money to experts, not chatbots

Any chatbot can answer a money question. But it has no obligation to you, it can't see your accounts, and it can't help you do anything with the answer.
Enter Stash.
We’re accountable to you. A chatbot gives you an answer and moves on. It isn't responsible for what happens next. Stash is an SEC-registered investment adviser. That means that within our advisory relationship, we're held to a fiduciary standard and legally required to act in our customers' best interest. It's a legal obligation and a brand promise.
It starts from your financial situation, not the internet's average. A chatbot learned from the internet, so it answers for people in general. Money Coach uses your Stash account and linked account information to make its guidance more relevant to you. The more you use Stash and the more accounts you connect, the more context it has to work from.
You can act on the answer right away. With a chatbot, you still have to open another app and do it yourself. In Stash, the next step is in the same place as the answer. You can adjust Auto-Stash, move money, or make an investment without leaving the app. You review and approve every action. Money Coach never places trades on its own.
Money Coach’s answers scored 7 points higher when we tested them side by side. We didn't want to claim "better" without showing our work.
Experts set the bar. Stash advisors and subject matter experts wrote the ideal answer to each real customer money question in our benchmark.
A separate AI does the grading. Money Coach and ChatGPT answered the same questions. A fixed, independent AI grader then scored each answer against the expert answer. No model grades its own work.
Every answer is scored on three things:
Accuracy: Is it correct, with no made-up numbers, prices, or account details?
Relevance: Does it answer the question that was actually asked?
Compliance: Does it stay within the rules for safe financial guidance?
As of 9/15/2026, Money Coach scored 7 percentage points higher than ChatGPT on the Stash Benchmark questions.
Every point matters when it comes to your money.
